Text While Driving - It Can Wait

As we enter the 100 most deadly driving days and in recognition of National Youth Safety Month, Call For Action encourages all consumers to refrain from texting while driving.

Studies show drivers who text are 23 times more likely to have an accident. Many states have taken action and made texting behind the wheel illegal. CFA supports efforts such as the “It Can Wait” Campaign, a joint effort by AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon, and the Department of Transportation’s distraction.gov site. Both are dedicated to providing facts on distracted driving and raising awareness about the dangers of texting while driving.

“Distracted driving is an epidemic on our roadways, and we need people all across America to take action in their communities to help put a stop to it,” said U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood.

The “It Can Wait” campaign asks all drivers to take the pledge not to text while driving, an effort to increase awareness on the issue across the country.

Please join us in this Call For Action.
