Internet Service

Another thing to consider when you are moving is your Internet service. Check to see if your current Internet service provider (ISP) has a local access number in the area where you are moving. Beware of using your old access number in a new area, as the call could be billed as long distance. Many ISPs have toll-free numbers for use when traveling, but usage is not generally free.

Do you need to get a new service altogether? If so, research and figure out which company best suits your needs. Nowadays, providers of high-speed Internet services, such as DSL, offer much faster access than the conventional dial-up connection. You may want to look into whether you can save money and get one bill by bundling dial-up Internet or DSL service with your local and long distance service.
