Engine Overhaul
You were forced to do it. The engine in your car had to be replaced…but that new engine can be a plus when you sell the car.
No one likes the thought of spending thousands of dollars for a new engine, but sometimes it is a smart decision. It will enable you to keep the car and can add to the value of the car when you finally decide to sell it.
You must make the right moves when you purchase the engine however, and that means that the invoice should contain the odometer reading at the time the new engine was installed. The reason is very simple. The odometer will reflect the total mileage on the car, not just the mileage on the new engine. You need to be able to prove that the new engine has accumulated only a part of the total odometer reading, and to do that you have to record the mileage when the new engine was installed. This document should be available for potential buyers.
