Your terrible driving record may soon cause you to lose your license, but you think you have found the answer – buy an international driver’s license over the internet.

The e-mail promises that you may purchase a license that will never be suspended or revoked and that for a price of around $300 you will avoid tickets and fines.

Many of these scam licenses try to get around the law by registering you as living at a foreign address. If you show this license to a law enforcement officer, you have committed a crime by lying about your address.

You cannot use an international driver’s license in the U.S. Furthermore these sites are not even offering legitimate international licenses because they are not authorized by the State department.
