Susan had been looking for a used car on the internet when she came across this incredible deal.

She e-mailed the seller of the vehicle and was told that he was selling at such a low price because he recently went through a divorce and really needed the money. She was told to pay $3,000 up front and the vehicle would be shipped to her. Then she would pay the remainder.

Susan told the seller that she would come to Virginia and pick up the vehicle. “Oh no,” she was told, “the deal must be done through a third party.” She would also have to provide personal financial information before the sale could be completed. Well, as you can imagine, this whole deal smacks of a scam and Susan didn’t buy a Hummer for $5,000.
