Business Help or a Phishing Scam?

A job search took him to the internet where he located a company that promised to help him set up a home based cyber business.

After being without a job for more than two years, he welcomed the idea of becoming self- employed. The company required his credit card information before it would begin the process of working with him. He was assured no charges would be made to the credit card during the three day cooling off period.

The next day, during discussions with the consultant, he became concerned about some of the things he was told to do. Then he did some research on the internet and found a number of serious complaints against the company. He called to cancel his agreement. He also contacted his credit card company and learned that nearly $7,000 had already been charged to his account.

The story does have a happy ending. He contacted Call For Action and we got him a refund.
